about me
I discovered homeopathy nearly two decades ago when my cat became deathly ill.
I was posted in West Africa at the time and had been struggling with my own health issues after an extended round of antibiotics. I asked the vet if there was anything she could do to save my cat that didn’t involve them, and she offered to give homeopathy a try. I had no idea what homeopathy was but if she thought it would help I was all for it. She reviewed his symptoms, flipped through some pages in a little black book, and gave him a remedy. Within minutes of arriving home, he walked over to his water bowl and started to drink as if nothing was wrong. He was nine years old at the time, and he stayed with me for another 10 years, living on four different continents.
Since then, I have come to know and love homeopathy so much that it became a calling.
So after serving for 6 years in the U.S. Navy and then another 17 years in the U.S. Foreign Service, I retired and went to homeopathy school. I began taking acute cases under supervision in 2021 and chronic cases under supervision in 2022. I graduated from the Academy of Homeopathy Education and became a certified classical homeopath (CCH) in 2023.
I’ve also volunteered to support the Homeopathy Help Network, the HOHM Foundation research office, and was able to return to Africa for an internship with Homeopathy for Health in Africa.
I have spent much of my life living outside the United States in countries both poor and rich, both war-torn and stable. I have learned that there are many ways of being in the world, and people react individually to their environment and circumstances. When people suffer, they need and deserve to be listened to and understood with great compassion and without judgement.
Whenever a person is healed physically, mentally, or emotionally, they have new energy to live out a higher purpose. This in turn can have a healing influence on everyone and everything around them.
Nomad Homeopathy is dedicated to supporting this process, understanding that all societies benefit when people are living out the highest purposes of their existence.
